Wicked Tenants
Luke 20:9-18
Introduction: Jesus’ parable represents the certainty of God’s plan and the corruption of man.
Summary Principle: God will accomplish His purposes, we must submit to Him in repentance and faith.
For the Children: Serve the Lord, trusting in His promises and forsaking your sin.
1) Rejected Servants (vv. 9-12)
Rejection of God’s prophets is rejection of God.
- Comfort: The prophets declared the gospel.
- Charge: Listen to the prophets, for they spoke about Christ.
2) Rejected Son (vv. 13-18)
Rejection of Jesus brings condemnation.
- Comfort: Jesus provides assurance to the believer.
- Charge: Trust in Christ alone for salvation.
Christocentric conclusion: Jesus is the King who came and gave living bread and water to His people. He is our salvation and our sure defense. We must continually trust in Him.
