Morning Sermon Notes
Ten Minas
Luke 19:11-27
Introduction: Jesus tells a parable that reminds us that He will return with power.
Summary Principle: Christ expects us to be active for Him.
For the Children: Serve the Lord diligently all your days!
1) Engage in the Lord’s Business (vv. 11-15)
The Lord has commanded us to serve Him.
- Comfort: The Lord has given us grace to serve.
- Charge: Be active for Christ where He placed you.
2) More Will be Given (vv. 16-27)
We shall be rewarded for our service.
- Comfort: God will reward even small efforts.
- Charge: Ask the Lord to strengthen you in your service.
Christocentric conclusion: Jesus Christ made it clear in this parable that He would return in power to reward and to condemn. Therefore, we must rest in His grace and power and faithfully serve Him until He returns.
